Seth Godin 🌔 was right when he said people are going to steal your ideas.
I work hard to share my ideas with you. And if I’m doing my job well people will share them and build off of them. They might even blatantly copy them.
But at the end of the day ideas are meant to spread. The best of them are meant to make the world a better place and to enrich the lives of the people who live in it.
There have been many times throughout my career as a high performance athlete and now as a writer and recruiter that I’ve had to take the high road. Someone talks down to me, doubts me, or tries to glom on to my hard work. But I take the high road.
And it’s not a difficult choice to do so.
Because at the end of the day I know what I gave and why. And I have my integrity, empathy, and unwavering trust in myself. You can’t shake it. The world can’t shake it. And I’ll keep going.
