Vacay

Being out of your routine for a little while is a good thing. Nothing is permanent. And when we hold so tightly to our routines it doesn’t allow us to live to our fullest. There has to be wiggle room. Room to let the kiddo sleep in bed with you for example. The kiddo will be grown up one day and won’t want to sleep in bed with you anymore.

The nature of the world is to evolve and change. And don’t get me wrong having a routine helps us cope with the chaos. But it’s also important to live the moments as they occur. To accept that it’s ok to do something out of the ordinary. And to let loose sometimes. It will all be alright. Things will go back to normal.

Even if it’s not a full blown vacay. There are chances to get away in the midst of all the hard work and chores and rituals that make life richer to live. Even if that means your son is kicking you in the stomach as you write this post. Remind me I said all this in an hour when he still isn’t asleep.
