Back to reality tomorrow. We’ve spent two wonderful weeks in Hawaii with family, swimming daily, eating amazing food, and enjoying time together. We head back to Seattle tomorrow and it’s hard not to think about missing this place and all the wonderful things vacation holds.
I love Seattle, but it’s cold and rainy and dark now. And the incredible summer won’t be here for many more months. It’s hard not to wish for more time here. More time in the sun. More time away from work and responsibility. Time away from “reality.”
But instead of dreading going home and back to our routine I’d love to think about it more as an opportunity to create a little bit of paradise every day. What are some things I can do every day to make things feel less stressful, more fun, more adventurous? Or create ways to bond with my wife and son or to spend time with friends? To add more play into my routine?
What are you doing to make going back to reality more enjoyable and more like the paradise we experience on vacation?
Thanks for reading.
