Slow Down

When life won’t slow down we have to do things to throw a stick in the spinning wheel. We go go go until we drop. But we need to rest. To spend time with family and do other things. To get away.

What would life look like if we didn’t need these breaks? These holidays and vacations?

If we had more regular opportunities to slow down and breath how would we feel? Would we need the big trips? Would we need the new toys?

Would we be more connected and less stressed out? Or is this just the way?

Seems it’s less about spinning too fast and more about spinning in the right direction. Focusing inward instead of on external things. Time is precious and how we choose to fill it is our responsibility.

It’s hard to know how to be proactive when we’re always trying to slow the merry go round down enough to jump off.
