Slices Of Life

There are a lot of “experts” out there. Trying to tell you how to win at life in just nine easy steps. So much of it is nonsense. They don’t know you. But they sure want to help you solve all your problems for a small fee.

I am no expert. Sure I’ve done some cool stuff in my life but I’m still a kid from Ohio who grew up obsessed with basketball and cats.

As my friend Kristi said, I share slices of life. These are my reflections on the day. My brain processing the thousands of thoughts I have. Trying to make sense of the chaos. It’s a lot to try to digest and understand.

I think that’s something universal about the human experience. We are all trying to understand. Not everyone blogs about it. Some post pictures of their garden or their dogs or a beautiful sunset. But at the end of the day we are all lying in bed thinking our own thoughts.

I’m not sharing expertise with you. I’m just sharing what I know, which is my own unique life. My hope is that there’s something relatable there. Maybe something funny. Or something that makes you go “huh.” There’s no fee or promise to fix all your problems in a week.

But I hope by sharing a little every day it is something you can look forward to. Perhaps share with a friend. And maybe feel inspired towards whatever it is you love.

Let the experts have their ten ways to optimize your life. More slices of life for us.
