Shut Off

There’s no off button. No all to yourself. No laying in bed binge watching eight hours of your favorite show.

It’s compromise and sharing and balancing the load. Trading on and off. Continuing to give when others have long moved on to something else.

Finding patience where there is none.

Finding love where there are conditions.

Finding depth and passion because it’s the only answer.

Being able to shut off is a luxury. And as hard as it is I wouldn’t want it that way. With the hard comes all the reward of true love.
