Kicks

Some days I am overwhelmed. Stress. Changes. Purchases. Lack of sleep. Work.

And then my wife calls me over. I place my head on her belly. And feel our baby kick. And all of that negativity fades away. And I remember my why.

My family.

It is so hard to keep things in perspective and to not fall victim to an avalanche of stress and anxiety. But there is so much to be grateful for. To keep close to. To appreciate.

All it took was one kick to bring me back to what matters most.

Here’s hoping we all get the kicks we need and to remember our whys.
