Chances are you don’t know. Or you’ve forgotten. Or you’ve beaten yourself up and lost sight of your value.
Often the stories we right in our own heads don’t really align with reality. We tell ourselves we aren’t good enough when in fact we are and then some.
No one else can tell you how valuable you are. They can encourage and remind and support you. But ultimately you’re the only one who can say the value you bring and believe it and make it come alive.
Being hard on yourself is ok. Having high standards is good. Setting goals and being frustrated when you don’t achieve them is fine. But none of that changes the unique value that you bring to every situation. A failure in one thing does not determine your worth. Someone’s negative opinion of you does not define you either.
Worth is a whole different thing than achievement. Sometimes our achievements bring additional value but underlying it all is the person we show up as through thick and thin. Good and bad. Humanity. Integrity. Tenacity. Empathy.
How valuable are you?
