It’s not always necessary to know exactly where you’re going. Sometimes not knowing leads to unexpected delights and discoveries. Sometimes you set out trying to go one place and you realize you wanted to go somewhere else all along. It took the journey to get you there.
But a guiding light helps to keep you going on that journey. Something that motivates or defines or takes you by the hand or the heart and nudges you along.
Without a guiding light we are aimless wanderers. And that in itself can be good for a time. But eventually the wandering loses its wonder and we want to actually get somewhere that matters.
What do you come back to time and time again to guide you? What leads you forward or toward something that matters to you? What’s your North Star? Sometimes it’s our own inner voice or a magical person we know or a desire to be better. Whatever it is find it. Listen to it. And go.
