Fog

Fog rolls in slowly and deliberately. The landscape becomes obscured and soon our world is encompassed in a thick gray curtain. Our typical landmarks and lines of sight are no longer available to us. We can easily become disoriented, confused, and paralyzed.

But fog can be good. It forces us to look inward for answers. To rely on our instincts and senses and to trust. We can define new paths and improvise solutions to problems and situations that can be solved by what we always do. We can become oriented and integrated with the world in a new way.

Without the luxury of a clear vision we have to see beyond the paradigms of mundanity. It’s an opportunity to do something different. To invent. To see things anew.

Fog happens. It can’t be controlled. But it can be used. It can be an opportunity to find a better way to do something or to appreciate what we take for granted.

Are you being encompassed by the fog. Or are you using it to learn, listen, and grow?
