Some might ask “would anyone miss it?” But the real question is “would you miss it?”
So often we focus on the external rewards. The things that give us a hit. Superficial. Throwaway.
What really matters is that you’re doing your work. Putting it out there because you want to give generously. Not because you want a like.
It’s hard not to care about that stuff. Everything in our world tells us we should.
But what about changing people for the better? Moving someone. Making them laugh or smile.
There isn’t a button on your phone that can capture this. Because authenticity is something we know but cannot measure. Something we feel. And why try anyway? The second we figure out how we’ll start to sell it.
Don’t sell your authenticity. Give it to the world freely. And the world will give back in ways far greater than a like or a share.
PS – I don’t think likes or shares are bad. They’re just not the driving force for what I do. I like and share plenty of stuff.
