The morning of our wedding we had an impromptu dance party. Just you and me. We’ve been together almost nine years and we’ve always danced together. In the kitchen. All over the house. At the clubs in our younger and more energetic days. At our wedding to Aretha Franklin. We used to dance with Ilsa in our old apartment in Somerville. And now we dance to Spanish cartoons and Disney classics in the living room with our son.
We are committed. We’ve made the vows and done the thing officially. And we continue to choose one another. I can’t imagine anyone else I’d rather dance with. Then. Now. Or in the future.
Here’s to all the dance parties still to come.
