Change

One thing that I have learned over the years is to expect and embrace change. Nothing stays the same for long or forever and accepting that is a crucial first step to thriving.

As much as I want comfort and security, I also know that change is a good thing. And while it might be uncomfortable and hard to imagine the benefits now, change can be a force for good.

Fearing change can lead to stagnation and unhappiness. While we think we are staying safe we are actually becoming lazy and apathetic. Creating habits that don’t move us forward.

Embracing change can open up a world of opportunities. Things we never knew were possible.

Yes we have to give some things up when there is change. But we also welcome new and better things and experiences into our lives.

One thing I want to focus on in 2020 is embracing change. Finding changes that will improve my life, my mentality, and my future. And the future of my family.

I don’t mean giving up on what’s working. But I do mean being totally open to the possibility that there is a better way. Not running from change. But listening. And making decisions based on what good can come from change instead of what I’ll lose. Confidence rather than fear.

Bring on the changes 2020.
